To ensure your new block paving driveway or patio doesn’t shift over time, we always excavate to a specified depth of 250mm, removing all debris from site to leave your home looking tidy. Since there is nothing worse than to look out at a newly laid driveway or patio and see the green shoots of weeds coming through, we always lay a geotex membrane on top of the newly excavated surface to prevent growth and add more strength. A stable sub-base is then created via a layer of MOT Type 1 aggregate which is then compressed. This all happens before the first block is laid.
In terms of style, there are plenty of choices available with a range of block paving styles, patterns, textures, thicknesses and colours to select from.
